PRAP Japan has always been regarded as an agency with strong relationships in Japan’s print and broadcast media. The new challenge for us has been to deepen our engagement with new “digital” media from SNS to YouTube and to accelerate the integration of these two media streams in the work for our clients. Leading this transition was 1) the successful creation of a “digital satellite” team within PRAP to support our account executives in embedding “digital” within their client engagement activities and 2) the launch of a “Digital PR Research Center” that attracted top academic talent and released a “social media package” helping to drive “buzz” on social networks.
Notable campaigns during the period featured an award-winning project to promote greater use of contact lenses among young athletes and an innovative promotion for AirBnB centered around a stay at a room atop perhaps Japan’s most iconic modern landmark, Tokyo Tower.
